The year 2020 did not at all transpire the way I expected it to back in January. Like many others, Garage Hot Rods had to do things differently this year. And for GHR, doing things differently turned out to be a good thing.
Due to the pandemic, I had to reach out to people via social media. I can’t express how much I appreciate those folks who were willing to talk and email with me to tell me about their hot rods. The 33 stories on GHR this year featured cars from 14 states, four Canadian provinces, and Australia, Brazil, and Sweden, spanning models from seven manufacturers and the years 1927 – 2006.
Your response has been amazing. Traffic to the site has been fantastic this year, it’s been above average for 32 weeks in a row now.
Of course, I’m mindful that the pandemic has been a burden on many people, families, and businesses, and I hate that. If you or your family have been impacted, my thoughts are with you.
This weekend is a time for giving thanks, so let me say again…
- Thank you to those of you who shared your stories with me
- Thank you for those of you who read GHR
I’m already working on some great articles for 2021, and I look forward to getting back to the car show scene in person next year as well.
Wishing you all the best in 2021!
