You might be wondering “What the heck has happened to Garage Hot Rods??” and that would be a valid question.
After posting the article about Pat Gorman’s gorgeous Cutlass in late November, there’s been…
Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
These nine weeks with no articles is by far the longest dry spell since GHR started.
Well, the answer to the question above is “a lot”.
Pat’s article went up right at the start of the holiday season. Family started visiting us and we started visiting family.
There were some business negotiations that took a lot of time (they worked out great).
I started a new freelance writing gig.
And I got Covid.
Add that up, and GHR has taken a bit of a back seat (pun intended).
The stories about ‘real hot rods, built by real hot rodders’ are not going to stop, but they probably will continue to be at a slower pace than you’re used to in the first four years of GHR. There are 137 articles currently on the site. If you haven’t read them all yet, be sure to check out the Archive page.
Finally I want to say thanks to everyone for making 2022 a great year for GHR!
My sincere thanks to the hot rodders who talked with me from fifteen different states, Germany and Australia.
And I can’t say “Thank You!” enough for the great support GHR’s readers have provided. Traffic to the site in 2022 was awesome! GHR was read almost twice as much as the year before. I really appreciate it.
Glenn

Thank you for all you have done and I pray everything gets better for you. Buddy and I appreciate the love you have for hot rods. We probably want be able to make it to the emerald Crusing car show in Panama City this year. Praying for you and your Family hoping to hear from you soon. Thanks Buddy and Teresa Wyers
Thank you Teresa!
Yeah. I got you not one, but 3! article leads at Chateau Elan, but did we get any articles??? I feel unappreciated….or something…just to make you feel bad.
And another thing.. how can you just dump you loyal GHR fans for some “free lance” gig. Sounds selfish to me…..”just sayin’….”
Ok, abuse is over. Hope you are all heathy now. Thanks for the good work (even if you are a quitter).
Grit
I liked Teresa’s comment better…
Gordon is a good friend and on the GHR Board of Directors. He’s just kidding. (I hope.)
I am very happy for you Glenn, a freelance writing gig sounds awesome.
I got covid too, the only good thing is to spend a week away from the dealership.
God bless you in your new enterprise.
